Card Questions: "That doesn't sound like me!" Sometimes the description of your Birth Card may not sound like you at first reading. I had this experience when reading my card description for the first time. It describes me as restless, wanting to travel and move homes a lot and being unable to commit to a long-term relationship. Well, that really threw me for a loop! After I thought about it for a day, however, I realized that the restlessness and traveling part is a subconcious part of me, and sometimes I do feel like that. And I have moved homes a lot in the past. My Cancer sun sign overrides some of the other attributes, though, as I am a nester who loves to be at home and I've been in a committed relationship for 15 years, and was in an 10-year relationship before that. So it may be that your sun sign or some of your other cards, such as the Planetary Ruling card, have more of an influence over you than your Birth Card. Also, the cards describe aspects of you that may or may not appear at different times in your life. It's really a guide, not an absolute rule. I have found the cards to be amazingly accurate, however. After going back and looking at what the cards predicted for the past nine months, I'd have to say that many things that were predicted to occur have occurred. Carol has done many readings for me and has emphasized that if you have an idea of what is coming, the negative things can be avoided or toned down significantly. If you are aware that something is probably coming up, you can adjust your thinking and attitude to minimize trauma and take advantage of auspicious energy. |
Cards of Destiny

But, beyond self understanding, the Book of Destiny also has an uncannily accurate record of your entire life. Each year of your life is divided up into seven, 52-day time periods. Each period will be governed by anywhere from two to eight cards which will accurately reflect what will happen to you during that time period. This system has been called the most accurate one ever discovered and everyone who has learned to use it, which takes about 2 hours, is amazed at what they discover.
All the cards for your entire life are in the book. They are fixed and unchangeable. However, each card has both high and low manisfestations.
